The Process Engineer is expected to lead, design, and execute scientific studies and process design to support Research and Development programs of new candidate vaccines as they progress from early Development into Clinical Phases I, II and III, and finally transferring the process to the intended commercial facility. The Process Engineer will be a core member of Technical Development Teams and will lead a matrix research team.

In this role, YOU will..

• Designs and leads specific workstreams, contributing to vaccine development of priority programs, following the Quality by Design (QbD) framework

• Independently responsible for the conception, design, implementation, and interpretation of scientific and technical data to support vaccine development projects.

• Makes sound scientific/technical and business decisions based on a balance of data, analysis and experience.

• Act as Singol Point Of Contact (SPOC) for PhI/II and PhIII process transfer to Pilot Plant to ensure efficient production of PhI/II or PhIII clinical grade material.

• Prepares and presents scientific data within Technical R&D including Technical Development Team and may represent GSK externally in conferences.

• Authors and reviews technical protocol, reports and manufacturing support documents in support of various project development stages, including URS, specifications, datasheets for research laboratory equipment.

• Designs and develops equipment or processes using innovative tools like Generative AI and Modelling.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in (Bio-)engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field with strong experience in a similar role

• A good understanding of biopharma / vaccine development process

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

• Sound scientific methodology and thinking

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in (Bio-)engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field

• Experience in technology transfer in manufacturing is a plus.
