Data Analyst Intern

This internship is designed towards undergraduate students
Everbridge is looking for an aspiring data analyst to join our Business Solutions and Center of Excellence team for a fall internship. You should be comfortable and excited to work with data in Microsoft Excel and have some experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau. As a key contributor, you will be making direct impact on data quality and drive accuracy for reporting. If you’re excited to gain hands-on data processing and analysis experience, then this is the internship for you.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with all teams on tools and data access required to support effective development of reporting and analysis
• Clean and transform data from multiple sources as needed for analysis and deliver actionable information.
• Drive the analysis and interpretation of metrics and return-on-investment performance resulting from organization initiatives.
• Develop insightful business intelligence reports (KPIs, metrics), dashboards, scorecards, and/or ad-hoc analyses that are repeatable and scalable.
• Generate and communicate findings to all stakeholders regarding key takeaways and actionable insights.
• Take initiative and assume ownership of processes and deliverables.

What you'll bring:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s with a focus on Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration (or equivalent).
• Coursework in database administration/intro to databases a big plus
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience working with Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
• Comfortable with basic statistics and Boolean logic
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker or Tableau)
• Basic coding experience (Python, R, SQL)
• Able to understand complex requirements – experience in workflows and detailed processes is a plus
• Quick learner and can-do attitude
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
