Senior Data Analyst (Finance & Strategy)

As our Finance & Strategy Data Analyst, you will be embedded into the Finance organization, working with and supporting the FP&A and corporate development teams on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a solid foundation in data science and experience in traditional finance and/or crypto markets. You are not only strong in execution and delivery, but also comfortable in strategy and planning. 

Responsibilities

• Support corporate development and strategic planning team with key internal and external data points
• Help build a solid data driven understanding of the company across finance, product, technology, marketing and operations
• Conduct analysis into emerging trends across existing products and adjacent product categories 
• Understand industry landscape and perform competitive analysis for identifying new opportunities for inorganic opportunities
• Support evaluation of M&A opportunities through conducting data analytics and due diligence 
• Analyze revenue and cost drivers and forecast financial health of a company
• Build analyses, dashboards, reports and forecasts using SQL, Python/R and Tableau

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or capital markets is preferable
• Have one of the following: a degree in Computer Science or related discipline, certificate of completion of a Software Engineering or Data Science Bootcamp, or one year minimum Data Science/Coding experience
• Intermediate-level knowledge of SQL & Python; and preferably experience with using python libraries numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and seaborn
• Strong in visualization with at least one BI tool (Tableau preferred)
• Experience manipulating large data sets in a distributed computing environment
• Strong exposure in analyzing operational parameters and generating meaningful insights from the underlying data in internet businesses
• Proactive self starter with a sense of  end to end ownership
• Familiarity with Cryptocurrencies, Defi, Staking, and/or NFTs a plus
