Senior Data Analyst

Bank of Jordan, a prestigious financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst-Models Risk Management to join our dynamic team. The Senior Data Analyst-Models Risk Management plays a critical role in analyzing data, building models, and providing insights to support risk management decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze large sets of data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop statistical models and algorithms to predict and assess risks.
• Work closely with risk management teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough assessments of model performance and propose improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in risk analytics and modeling.
• Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field. Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis or risk management, preferably in the financial industry.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages such as R or Python.
• Experience building and validating statistical models and algorithms.
• Knowledge of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulations.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using SQL or other data manipulation languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
