This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. We are seeking a logistics management analyst to controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. The logistics management analyst ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. You will ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. You will also build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Participate in HII/Government meetings.
•    Receive procurement requests and coordinate with HII and government engineers to understand the technical aspects of the procurement. 
•    Verify accurate ordering of material/equipment and supporting options.
•    Develop justifications for each procurement action, as required.
•    Work with Program Managers and Project Controller to verify that funding is available to support procurements.
•    Coordinate with HII’s procurement department and vendors to track delivery schedules.
•    Keep the PM and Customer informed on delivery schedules.
•    Coordinate the receiving and delivery of materials and equipment.
•    Draft inspection and receiving reports.
•    Coordinate Government Acceptance via DD Form 250.
•    Submit receiving reports to HII receiving.
•    Verify procurement invoices are processed.
 

What you must have:

• 0 years’ experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Requirements

Understanding of:
•    Excel spreadsheets and/or similar spreadsheet/organization tools.
•    MATLAB and/or Python.
•    Database interaction and schema design.
 

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
