Department Overview
The Supply Chain Analytics department is the strategic linchpin for the organization, dedicated to optimizing the flow of goods, information, and finances as products move from supplier to customer. Utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies, this department transforms large sets of data into actionable insights, enabling better decision-making across the entire supply chain. Team members are adept at forecasting, inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization. By identifying trends, performing root cause analyses, and recommending improvements, the Supply Chain Analytics team plays a critical role in increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain performance. Their work not only supports a more agile and responsive supply chain but also contributes to a competitive advantage in the marketplace through enhanced operational effectiveness.
Job Description
As a Supply Chain Data Engineer/Analyst, you will be instrumental in driving our company's strategic planning and operational excellence. You will be at the forefront of analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels. Your role will directly impact our ability to deliver products efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to our competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage statistical models and data analysis techniques to provide insights into supply chain operations.
- Create data sources and dashboards and reports to monitor supply chain performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop analytics-driven solutions.
- Conduct demand planning and forecasting, utilizing predictive analytics to enhance accuracy.
- Analyze data to identify cost-saving and time-efficient opportunities.
- Manage and interpret large datasets to support decision-making for supply chain management and strategy development.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline supply chain processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in supply chain analytics tools and technologies.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Analysis, Operations Research, or a related field.
Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and supply chain optimization.
Strong proficiency in analytical software (e.g., Tableau, SAS, R, Python, SQL) and database management systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a keen attention to detail.
