We’re looking for a Lead Data Scientist to help us gain useful insight into data in The Netherlands. Sprinque is on a mission to help businesses grow safely in a digital world. We are making it possible for businesses to pay for purchases on terms that suit them, and to enable merchants to use credit and payments as a strategic tool to build a thriving B2B e-commerce business.

You will:

  1. Build the core risk assessment models powering the underwriting function. The outputs of these models will determine who we lend to, how much we lend, and what terms we offer. Anti-fragility is the name of the game for our credit portfolio.
  2. Build strong foundational models for fraud prevention and monitoring.
  3. Own the process E2E – from data cleaning & experimentation to model deployment, validation, and monitoring.
  4. Proactively seek out & tap into new data sources, such as credit bureau reports, social media presence, location-based data, and digital footprint data satellite/street views. Integrate promising, relevant data sources into our production pipeline.
  5. Collaborate closely with:
    1. Engineering: to shape and improve our data engine
    2. Risk & Credit: to shape our underwriting strategy and ensure we're compliant
    3. Product: to provide data insights to make data-driven decisions that shape the future of our product.
