Computer Science / Engineering Student - Fall 2024 - Halifax

Details:

We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Computer Science or Engineering Student in our Geointelligence department at our Halifax office. This is an 8-month term starting in September, 2024.

The successful candidate will be a full member of an experience agile team designing and developing software for a signal processing system that is part of the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope project.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Python and C++ software including tests and tools
• Participate in team design and review activities

Experience and skills required:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or Engineering Science with three (3) years completed.

Desirable Skills:

• Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps
• Testing frameworks (e.g., pyest and GoogleTest)
• Agile software development
• Software microservice architectures
• Signal processing
