The opportunity – ‘Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life’

As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in the stewardship of data governance frameworks and policies across HESTA. This position is centred around ensuring that data is managed in compliance with key financial service regulations and in alignment with organisational goals. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining robust data governance practices, working with stakeholders to ensure data governance is driven by business value, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organisation.

About You

You have experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, with demonstrable experience in developing and executing data governance frameworks and strategies. You have knowledge of Australian financial service regulations and guidelines for data, such as APRA’s CPG 235, and CPS 230, as well as familiarity with international data protection laws, particularly the GDPR.

You have a strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage. You have the ability to create and deliver training and awareness programs on data governance and data management best practices. You are a strong communicator with a history of influencing organisational data practices and policies.
