Job Description:

• Apply knowledge/understanding of basics in signal processing, algorithms, etc.
• Expertise in machine learning methods, including SVMs, logistic regression, boosting, decision trees, clustering, and HMMs.
• Expertise in machine learning and deep learning areas: TensorFlow, Caffe, Scikit-Learn, Scipy, Pandas, and Torch.
• Translate simulations and ideas from research papers into practical functioning implementations.
• Improve and contribute beyond current state-of-the-art literature in vision/learning to develop next-generation products and experiences.
• Advanced software development coding in Python, Java or C/C++. Design and implement machine learning techniques in image recognition and speech recognition in performant software across all levels of the ML stack including GPU and CUDA environments.
• Solve problems using optimization, dimensionality reduction, compress sensing, computational imaging, applied mathematics or related areas to perform advanced simulation or design new algorithms in numerical environments using Matlab, Python, Julia, etc.
• Mentor other members of the team including interns.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Vision, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence.
• Experience must include the following machine learning and deep learning areas:
  • TensorFlow/PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Scipy, and Numpy;
  • Machine learning methods, including SVM, regression, clustering, Conditional Random Fields/Markov Random Fields;
  • CV libraries, including OpenCV;
  • Computer languages/environments, including Python C/C++, or Java;
  • Performant software in computer vision / machine learning including vectorization, parallelization, in CPU/GPU systems;
  • Computer Vision or Machine Learning or Deep Learning algorithms/models suited towards real-time applications including smartphones or low computational devices;
  • Signal processing from sensor data;
  • Optimization, computational imaging, and applied mathematics;
  • Machine learning functions including differentiable operations, loss functions, and creation of neural network architectures.

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
