Apprenticeship BI Data analyst

 

 

Renewables Global Business Unit (R-GBU) is supporting the Group to accelerate Renewables (RES) asset development with an EBIT around €1.2 Bn end of 2021. We count 4,900 employees and more than 50 nationalities across 20 countries. With an installed capacity of 36 GW end of June 2022 across 4 Operational Areas, R-GBU manages a diversified portfolio of assets including Solar (4.6 GW), Wind (13.7 GW) and Hydro (17.9 GW) assets. Our ambition is to multiply by more than 2 our installed capacity with 80 GW in 2030.

 

 

Essential job functions:

 

The roles and responsibilities assigned to the BI Data analyst are to :

  • support the Business Data team, to work on the redesign and optimization of existing reports in order to make the visualization of data clearer and more readable
  • Develop new advanced dashboards, using Power BI, under the responsibility of the data analytics manager and with a string collaboration with our final users
  • Respect the visual identity of reports (color, template, renew logo, etc.)
  • Be proactive and share best practices on Power BI, Power apps, Python, etc.
  • Data engineering : Participating in the phase of data preparation by writing Python scripts in order to clean, map, mix, and put in the right format the raw data coming from different sources.
  • Write documentation : outlines the methodology and the results of the data analytics projects, including key insights and recommendations for future analysis.

 

 

Team and work environment:

 

This role is part of the Business Data Team of the RGBU. The team’s main goal and mission is to build the RGBU data reference platform containing validated information of all GWs from Development to Operations, used by 60% of the Extended Leadership Team of the RGBU (“XLT”) on a monthly basis by end of Q1 2024.

The role is based in Paris and reports to the Data analytics manager.

  • at Group level:       Regular exchanges with our final users across the world;
  • at R-GBU level:     Different Teams dealing with operations (Development, construction, Maintenance, etc.)
  • at country level:     Local Teams

 

External interfaces:     NA.

Required qualifications:

 

Mandatory pre-requisites:

  • Education : University degree or equivalent in IT, Business intelligence or Data analytics or Data science.
  • Experience  : A first experience (training) in a data related field is a big plus
  • Mastering Power BI and a programming language is required; Mastering Power Apps and Power platform is a big plus.
  • Languages (Good level in English and French)

 

 

 

 

 

Hard skills / specific knowledge:

  • English : Good level
  • Power BI, Power apps
  • Python (pyspark, pandas, numpy, streamlit, plotly, etc.);
  • Ability to challenge, advise and remotely interact with country teams

 

 

 

Soft skills:

  • Communication: As a BI Analyst, you need to be able to explain complex data in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
