Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test BI solutions such as databases, data cubes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards. Performs data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
  • Merge BI platforms with the Global Shares web-based product lines systems. Perform data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
  • Implements data structures using best practices in data modelling, processes, and technologies.
  • Enhance the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and indexes, lead performance tuning of BI applications.
  • Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations as well as lead the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
  • Collect, analyses, and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results.
  • Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot applications to support BI functionalities.
  • Optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Sisense, Tableau and Jasper.
  • Utilize Azure Cloud Services for storage, compute, and other relevant functionalities.
  • Ensure effective use of Azure Data Factory Studio for data pipeline management.
  • Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
  • Ensure reliability and efficiency in message brokering and event handling.
  • Manage applications using Kubernetes. Ensure high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Develop and manage REST APIs and other API types for seamless data exchange between systems. Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and well-documented.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • PostgreSQL & Microsoft SQL Server knowledge is required with strong skills in writing & optimizing SQL queries for analytics.
  • Experience in data warehousing processes using advanced SQL functions and procedures , with focus on portability within multiple environments (QA, UAT and PROD).
  • Experience with relational databases, data modelling, and data visualization tools to deliver results.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure Cloud Services, Kafka, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in using Kafka for data streaming and processing.
  • Skilled in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Project experience with the proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently leveraging excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Experience providing business-related/and or technical subject matter expertise on large, highly complex reporting projects and business analytics to support management, multi-functional departments, staff members, and peers. Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain confidential and complex issues and make recommendations to leadership.
