Increasing our lead in autonomous driving requires visionary thinkers and creative developers. Specialists in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, sensor technology and software development will work in expert teams in centres of excellence networked around the world to redefine the limits of what is possible. 

As part of our SW / Function Development team you will create new features for virtual SW / System integration system that enables autonomous driving for the future generation of cars of the BMW Group.

 

What awaits you?

  • A feature team with broad skill set, supporting each other on a daily basis and connecting to other software and functional developer experts throughout the organization.
  • You will work in a state-of-the-art agile environment, utilizing agile methodology.
  • Using state of the art tools like Bazel, Ansible, Airflow, ELK Stack, Zuul, Ubuntu and Github will be part of your job. 
  • The integration of the driver assistance system in the virtual testing environment is part of your daily work.
  • From in-depth software development to project management with strong relation to the autonomous driving product awaits you.
  • Furthermore, you will work on all phases of software and functional development, always with the goal of deploying to an upcoming series car project.

 

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
  • Strong expertise in driver assistance systems or autonomous vehicles.
  • Expertise in C++, Python.
  • Expertise in DevOps / SRE practices and their tools.
  • An open mind to collaborate with many different stake holders and willingness to solve a variety of challenges.
  • Ideally expertise in Bazel.
  • Expertise in utilizing agile development methodology like Kanban and Scrum. 
  • Business-fluent English.
