The Associate Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading the business intelligence team in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform strategic decision-making within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for data gathering, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and presenting actionable insights to key stakeholders.

Summary:

As an Associate Director of Business Intelligence, your role would involve overseeing the development and implementation of strategies for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights and support decision-making within an organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead the business intelligence team in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple sources.

  • Develop and implement strategies for data gathering, storage, and processing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and develop analytical solutions to address them.
  • Design and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to visualize key metrics and trends for decision-makers.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on data insights to support business objectives and drive growth.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of business intelligence tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of business intelligence initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Lead calls with senior, C-Suite stakeholders, guiding them through dashboard and insights.
  • Supporting stakeholders and maintaining relationships in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and accessibility of the data and overall BI solutions being implemented and maintained.
  • Perform data quality checks and data validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decision making.
  • Communicate complex data findings and solutions to various audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage a team of BI analysts, providing guidance, feedback, coaching and career development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a track record of delivering actionable insights to support business objectives.
  • Experience in BI supporting sales organizations would be preferred – understanding the sales management process and working with sales leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of analysts.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of business processes and operations, with the ability to understand and address business challenges through data-driven solutions.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
