Job Summary

VP of Data Science & BI will report into EVP Technology and will be accountable for a portfolio of Platforms, Applications, and Services that deliver the vision of “Connected Enterprise”. Ideal candidate would be passionate about “All Things Data” and have expertise in enabling Digital Transformation across the enterprise by providing accurate data and actionable insights “Reliably”.

VP will craft vision and strategy for data management, integration, innovation, and analytics support to all business functions. S/He will also be responsible for the evolution of underlying technology platform(s), identifying tools and technologies, and data governance to enable innovation.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a high performing Data Science, Engineering, and BI team that supports the data integration and business insights needs of various internal and external systems
2. Build Enterprise Data Strategy to drive marketplace differentiation via strategic insights, by enabling experimentation, and by “Connecting The Enterprise”
3. Grow the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to improve Coach and Client Experience and Operational Efficiency
4. Lead Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) to allow effective sourcing, warehousing and distribution of data
5. Lead the Business Intelligence team and work closely with the business stakeholders to implement key use cases that unlock data as an enterprise asset
6. Optimally use a scalable staffing model that leverages onsite, near-shore and offshore internal and vendor resources to ensure availability of skilled resources while optimizing spend
7. Lead the Master Data Management (MDM) platform and collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards of key master sets to curate and enable a comprehensive foundation
8. Develop and implement Enterprise Data Architecture that can support international expansion
9. Work closely with the other Tech functions, including Information Security, Infrastructure, Delivery Management, Enterprise Tech, and Digital Engineering
10. Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders to effectively drive aligned business results
11. Demonstrate knowledge of business operations and stakeholder needs in Direct Selling Consumer Goods environment
12. Manage, mentor, build and lead high performing global teams in a manner consistent with organizational policies and values

Scope

This role would have multiple Director-level direct reports and team members spread across multiple locations and time zones.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field. Master’s Degree would be a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in Software Development/Technology
• 10+ yrs experience with tools/platforms like AWS, Mulesoft, Informatica ETL, Redshift, Apache Spark, Python, R, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Neo4j, Tableau, Dataiku etc
• 3+ yrs hands-on experience designing/implementing ML/AI models and delivering ROI
• 5+ yrs hands-on experience with Data Engineering
• 7+ yrs leading Technology/Engineering teams
• 3+ years leading Technology teams with Director-level direct reports
• Data Modeling and Data Governance experience will be a plus
• Experience driving outcomes in agile delivery environments
• Demonstrated expertise in identifying opportunities and assisting with ROI/business case development
