POSITION OVERVIEW

Global Atlantic Financial Company is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Operations Data Analyst in Des Moines, Iowa. Responsibilities include:

  • Report to the Analytics Manager and work closely with key Operations business stakeholders to develop metrics and reports to measure and support the management of business performance across several Operations business areas.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly recurring processes maintenance and provide ongoing reports and metrics in a timely manner.
  • Explore process improvement opportunities by streamlining data pipeline and process automation to improve operational efficiencies and customer experience.
  • Integrate data from various data sources and manage the centralized Operations reporting database utilized by data scientists and analysts.
  • Monitor production processes and address issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with operations business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT to identify data gaps and data quality issues in an enterprise data hub (EDH) ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with IT to migrate data to EDH and resolve any data quality issues.
  • Work independently on ad-hoc requests (such as annual statement reporting, DOI requests, and mailing reports) and assist with special projects (such as Death Claims reporting and customer demographics tool) as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related role.

Prior work experience must include seven (7) years of:

  • Working with data management and analytics.
  • Partnering with on-site and off-site teams to learn business needs and obtain clarification when required.
  • Applying knowledge of client data and business requirements to develop solutions and reports to address client’s problems.
  • Managing data from internal and external sources with Python, SAS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Ability to consume data files, identify inconsistencies, determine root cause, collaborate with data and analytics team members and business partners to resolve data issues, and complete data cleaning, maintenance, and storage to facilitate development of relevant metrics and reports.

Prior work experience must include two (2) years of:

  • Working in financial services (insurance, annuity, or investment banking).
