Senior Manager, Data Science Analytics

This Senior Manager will lead our Loyalty Platform and Identity Platform team to enhance our understanding and performance of the capabilities we provide to EG, our travelers, and our partners. This will require you to collaborate effectively across all business and support functions at EG (e.g. executives, analytics, product, technology, and finance) to ensure timely delivery of high-impact analytical products. You will collate and evaluate the business needs from our stakeholders to create an actionable, well-communicated plan aligned across functions.

This requires a leader to be curious, biased to action, and passionate about data. You enjoy shaping our analytics strategy while occasionally rolling up your sleeves to assist in analyses and visualizations. You can build and maintain strong partnerships within and outside of your team to ensure your initiatives are understood and effectively executed.

What you’ll do:

• Communicate across various levels of the organization; able to influence partners and senior leaders with audience appropriate messages and relevant information. This will also include contributing to the team culture by spreading enthusiasm and encouraging goodwill towards the department

• Manage stakeholders with frequent communication, expectation management, meeting deadlines and minimizing surprises

• Communicate team goals, progress and outputs within and across teams

• Understand functional metrics and approach new insights strategically, considering impacts to the wider business strategy

• Promote collaboration among team members and encourage others to cooperate and coordinate efforts

• Apply data visualization principles consistently resulting in clear and consistent outcomes

• Have extensive experience of big data architecture (streaming events, data lakes, analytics engines) and relational database models as it relates to analytics

Who you are:

• 7+ years analytical experience, including people management

• An established people leader who typically leads a larger team of advanced and junior analysts

• Collaborate with senior management and partnered product, development and data science partners to deliver a portfolio of work and a high performing, well managed and talented team

• Experienced People Manager including contributing to development talent planning

• Experienced in effectively managing talent across different locations and recruiting at least 2 advanced analysts to your own team

• Possess a solid understanding of hypothesis testing, frequentist, and Bayesian statistics

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
