About the Job:

As a Data Engineer, you will join our technology team and play a vital role in delivering data-focused solutions to our clients. You will be proficient in designing and implementing data architecture on Azure, using industry-standard data tools. You’ll work with our clients and internal teams to define data standards, practices, and common models. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architecture that meets the business needs. 
  • Conduct business workshops to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Define and implement data standards, practices, and common models. 
  • Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of data solutions. 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of data design patterns.  
  • Experience in developing and implementing data models, data transformation pipelines and workflows
  • Strong Experience in Design, Development, Implementation, Unit Testing, Troubleshooting and Support of ETL Process
  • Strong Experience in SQL Query Design and Implementation
  • Strong Experience using Pyspark to develop in Spark based data platforms platform
  • Familiarity with the lake-house data architecture
  • Knowledge and experience of programming languages  (e.g. Java, Python, and data visualization/exploration tools)
  • Experience inof Data Warehouse Concepts
  • Experience in SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization by Indexing, Partitioning and Denormalization
  • Data engineering certification (e.g Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
  • Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem, specifically Azure Analysis Services. Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Work with Stakeholders and Understand their Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent complex ideas.
  • Be an advocate for best practices and continued learning

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working with a technology consultancy. 
  • Experience in Pharma, Medical or related field  
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management and related tools. 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills. 
  • Experience working in the public sector.
