The opportunity: Senior Data Engineer
As a Senior Data Engineer at myTomorrows, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data infrastructure that underpins our innovative product platform. Working alongside our Data Analyst, Medical Data Scientist, and DevOps team, you will design and build a robust data environment that enables seamless data flow, storage, and visualization. This critical infrastructure will support the delivery of actionable insights and business intelligence to our customers and internal stakeholders through intuitive dashboards and reports.
In this key position, you will collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering team, as well as the Growth department and other stakeholders, to identify and address the complex data challenges that arise in the development of our product. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our data collection, storage, and reporting capabilities meet the evolving needs of our business, ultimately driving growth, innovation, and success.
We are looking for candidates who are willing to join our team in our Amsterdam office up to 2 days a week, where they'll have the opportunity to work alongside our dynamic and dedicated colleagues. What you'll do in this role:
- You will work within our engineering and product team working closely with Marketing and Growth teams to develop reporting pipelines
- Design and construct robust reporting pipelines that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain scalable and reliable data architectures for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand reporting requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for healthcare data management
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and data quality assurance
Requirements
What you bring to the table:
- Experience in building and maintaining modern data pipelines with Python, DBT and ETL tools like Airbyte
- Experience with loading and transforming data from various data sources like HubSpot, Google Analytics, RDMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and various formats
- Experience with data visualization tooling like Tableau
- Experience with data modeling and data architecture
- Working understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate efficiently in a small data team with a data analyst and medical data scientist
- Excellent English communication skills
Current tech stack
We are fully cloud-native utilizing AWS. We adopt a Lean, API first product development approach leveraging cloud technologies and design practices.
Our platform technologies, both microservice and AI, are developed in Python.
We also foster a rapidly growing expertise in knowledge graphs (Neo4j, Memgraph) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL restful etc.). In addition, we develop human in the loop Machine learning for healthcare in house such as LLMs and other NLP techniques.
