The Role
Here at Taptap Send, data-driven decision making is at the core of how we operate, and we’re now looking for a technical powerhouse to make sure we have the right data available to our Finance teams as we scale to the next phase of growth. If your passion is wrangling data sets, generating insights, pursuing complex cross-functional problems and influencing decisions made across the business, then this is the role for you! No challenge is too small -- or too large! You’ll enjoy working with and communicating results to a range of partners. You’ll report into the Commercial Finance Director but provide support across the Finance team, bringing a data focused perspective to all our key decisions. 

Responsibilities:

• Owning key finance data pipelines-- You’ll own key data pipelines, from the revenue calculations with our FP&A team to automating reporting with our Control function, ensuring we can quickly, and accurately, access complex financial information
• Lead internal analytics projects -- You’ll lead on day-to-day analytics projects in the FP&A team, identifying areas for analytics improvements and helping us build insightful analysis to meet the needs of our stakeholders around the business
• Be a key partner in ensuring Taptap Send is data-centric -- You’ll develop best practices and processes around data management, data requests, and prioritization. You will work with other Analytics tribe members to ensure we capture the right data and use the right tools as we continue to scale

Requirements

• 3-7 years of data engineering/ data science experience, with some of that in-house (preferably start-up)
• Strong SQL skills, and able to handle large & complex data structures from multiple sources
• Experience designing and structuring data models 
• A passion for using data and visualizations to tell stories and answer difficult questions
• Ability to work independently and balance priorities
• ‘No task too small’ mentality
• Working proficiency with DBT a plus
• Working proficiency with Python or R a plus
• Experience building dashboards with business intelligence tools, such as Looker or Mode
