Data Engineer

The Swift Group is looking for a Data Engineer who will apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. This person will focus on ensuring the mission is met while developing with both front-end and back-end technologies.  As part of the team, the successful candidate will support the front-end development services in support of mission data availability. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

 Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant ETL experience
• 2+ years of experience with NoSQL data stores
• Experience building and maintaining data flows in NiFi, Pentaho, or Spark
• Bachelors degree or five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarization executing jobs in Big Data Technologies (i.e.., Hadoop or Spark)
• Experience with the following languages: Java/J2EE, SQL, XML, XQuery, XPath, Python, Shell Scripting, JSON
• Knowledge of servers operating systems; Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to comprehend database methodologies
• Focus on continual process improvement with a proactive approach to problem solving
