Job Description Summary

• Contribute in building of analytical solutions to support the Novartis internal customers on various business initiatives.
• Work with Data Scientist /Business lead to solve analytics problems and documents results and methodologies
• Support and facilitate data enabled decision making for Novartis internal customers by providing and communicating qualitative and quantitative analytics
• -Understands business problems, supports integrated analytical approach to mine data sources, manage data effectively, employ statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to contribute solving unmet medical needs, discover actionable insights and automate process for reducing effort and time for repeated use.
• Provide data science and quantitative analytical support by ensuring timely delivery of high quality reports.Build capabilities to leverage the Science of data.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide strategic solutions.

 

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

• Translate business questions into analytical problems and build solutions using visualization techniques, machine and deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Search and develop data management techniques, new algorithms, methods, statistical models and business models, providing insight into structured and unstructured data.
• Quickly learns and pilots the use of tools, data sources and analytical techniques needed to answer wide range of critical business questions and to improve status quo
• Identifies research articles and reproduce /apply innovative methodology to Novartis business problems
• Provide understandable and actionable business intelligence for key stakeholders.
• Brings understanding of one or more areas of data sciences and is able to demonstrate practical knowledge of techniques
• Helps developing new quantitative methods with the aim of improving processes in various projects and developing new analysis opportunities by integrating existing and new data sources -Support various projects, of limited scope.
• Executes the data related activities like Data acquisition ,Data transformation ,Data integration ,Data discovery and summary of data formats, etc
• Helps team to wrangle data for analysis, following data wrangling principals
• Actively works on the delivery of analytical deliverables
• Tests the experimental design approaches to validate finding or test hypotheses.
• Supports sr. data scientist to develop innovative and effective approaches to solve client's analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies.
• Conducts advanced data analysis and moderately complex designs algorithm
• Applies advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain, and improve on multiple real-time decision systems. Supports Building powerful visualizations to convey the insights derived from the data
• Works on moderately complex & cross functional data science / analytics solutions Aligns with the work plans timelines to meet time frames
• Supports Sr. Data Scientists to implement innovative and effective approaches to solve client's analytics problems and follows standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with all internal functional operating procedures like time tracking, KPI tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and priorities and translate them into actionable analytics and improvement initiatives. 
• Lead business and technology consulting projects to create impact for the organization. 
• Develop meaningful metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor Supply Chain performance. 
• Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and driving operational excellence. 
• Take ownership of improving client experience for applicable analytics solutions by regular stakeholder connect, collecting feedbacks and managing expectations  

Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Advanced Analytics and Data Science.
• Has a strong professional network across Academia.
• In-depth mastery of external environment and trends.
• Track record delivering global solutions at scale.
