Data Analyst

We are looking for talented, technical oriented individuals with excellent communication skills and desire to work on end-to-end data analytics and reporting projects. The successful candidate should be able to retrieve the information via ETL/ELT systems, maintain it in a RDBMS model and deliver it to relevant stakeholders in a presentable format.

As Data Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Gathering, understanding and documenting detailed business requirements;
• Development of periodic reports and KPIs on portfolio performance, for operational, management and regulatory purposes;
• Development and maintenance of ETL/ELT model;
• Exploratory analyses leading to the development of treatment strategies, campaigns and debt restructuring products;
• Setting up and maintaining automated processes according to the business requirements i.e. invoicing process;
• Working with the business team to establish business needs; and
• Identification of areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.

On a day-to-day basis, the Data Analyst will be asked to:

• Understand the requirements posed by clients and portfolio analysts;
• Translate these into technical specifications for data transformation, extraction and presentation;
• Configure and extend the unified portfolio data model maintained by the company’s systems in relational and multidimensional databases, to implement the specifications in a reusable way; and
• Use standard visualization and reporting front end tools to present the results of analyses and develop reusable reports.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in data analysis;
• Strong SQL skills and a solid knowledge of database structure and operation;
• Very Good knowledge of relational data models, databases and related concepts;
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server– 3+ Years of experience;
• Extensive experience with at least one data presentation tool (e.g. Power BI, Spotfire, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Elastic);
• Good knowledge of ETL tools such as MS SSIS, Pentaho, Talend etc.;
• Exceptional attention to quality, detail, and be comfortable working as part of an extended team on an agile delivery plan;
• Resourceful, creative, self-motivated and eager to learn;
• English fluency and strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and
• A degree in information technology, computer science, data analytics, or relevant field.

It would also be nice to have:

• Work experience in credit or debt portfolio data management, analytics or reporting;
• Knowledge of Python and/or other OOP languages;
• Knowledge of R statistical language;
• Experience in working with multidimensional databases (e.g. MS Analysis Services); and
• Familiarity with statistical tools and predictive modelling concepts.
