Data Analyst
Location: Remote U.S.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the corporate marketing team at Cohesity. Data is central to measuring all aspects of our business and critical to our operations and growth at Cohesity. In this critical role you will help build a data foundation that improves data quality, governance, reporting and analytics. We are looking for an energetic individual who thrives on teamwork in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and who can execute effectively.
The ideal candidate has an eye on the big picture and challenges the status quo to ensure that data sets and visualizations can scale as Cohesity continues to evolve over time.
Responsibilities
- Performing analysis of data using statistical & predictive techniques and generating KPIs
- Proactively delivering credible insights and actionable recommendations to inform strategic decisions
- Articulating analyses for business leaders and developing presentations to communicate valuable insights
- Presenting bi-weekly KPI analysis results & insights to business teams
- Monitoring web visitor activity (anonymous & authenticated) and providing regular guidance on engagement trends
- Proactively seeking data from a wide variety of external sources to enhance in-house data and inform competitive analyses
- Ensuring data governance across several data platforms in accordance with applicable regulation and internal policies (e.g. GDPR, retention policy, etc.)
- Proactively monitoring & auditing data sources for new or missing data
- Assisting in maintaining and improving data quality and workflow management systems
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to identify ongoing needs/requirements
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Math or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis & reporting in the technology industry
- Ability to plan effectively and meet or exceed committed timelines
- Detail oriented with the highest regard for accuracy and completeness
- Experience with SQL and programming with Python or R
- Background with analytics tools such as Tableau & Adobe Analytics
- Experience with spreadsheet and presentation software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable ability to build successful relationships and partner with all levels of a company’s organization

- Strong experience in generating and finding new insights in large, complex data sets
- Possess the ability to continually innovate, think strategically, and orchestrate complex projects with many moving parts
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for improving tools & workflow
- Exhibit a can-do attitude and a growth-mindset
- Developer marketing experience is a plus
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a minimum base salary starting at $90,000/year. Bonus, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for benefits including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
