Job Summary

The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines ensuring data integrity, scalability and security. The role requires managing and optimizing data architecture, ensuring data quality and developing processes for effective data utilization. The person will also be responsible to provide technical leadership to a team of data engineers and collaborate with data scientists & analysts to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Data Extract Utilities.
• Experience in Data Architecture, Data Quality, Metadata Management, ETL, Analytics, Reporting and Database Administration.
• Strong computer science background and knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL.
• Programming experience in a modern language (ideally Python).
• Experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Consulting, Operations, Statistical analysis & Quality Assurance.
• Experience working with AWS Redshift.
• Experience working with Snowflake.
• Advanced problem solving ability to identify and evaluate solution alternatives.
• Ability to learn new technologies and tools.
• Capable of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints.
• Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Analystics/BI, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
  

Related work experience in

• Developing and Designing enterprise data visualization tools.
• Requirements analysis and documentation, Data validation, analysis, and debugging, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Writing SQL.
• Designing and building analytics tools in Microstrategy.
• Creation and Execution of Data Extract Utilities.
• ETL/API Development.

Responsibilities

• Designing, constructing, maintaining, and testing the architecture that supports data management and analysis.
• Administering, testing and implementing computer databases.
• Coordinating changes to databases and identify/resolve performance issues.
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to protect computer databases.
• Evaluating, understanding, and interpreting data, writing specifications to capture consumer behaviors and identifying data problems.
• Building and producing data pipelines that are more accurate with the help of machine learning models
• Identifying the right BI tool based on business requirements and customizing it accordingly.
• Constructing and maintaining data warehouses and helping the Analytics team use structured and unstructured data in their model creation processes.
• Managing and designing big data solutions, developing tools & structures to manage big data and connect it with different types of databases.
• Understanding cloud storage and cloud computing.
• Securely managing and storing data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Related Work Experience.
• MicroStrategy report/dashboard development experience.
• Alteryx experience.
• Telecom industry experience.
• Data Modeling (conceptual & logical) experience.
• Python or R.
• AWS Redshift & Snowflake Experience.
