Description:
- Data Management (DM), part of Clinical Data and Insights (CDI), includes activities and tasks performed on clinical study data, including planning, data capture in CRF/eCRF and quality assurance up to Clean File/Database lock.
- Will be a member of DM LT and responsible for the global processes, quality, training, and metrics of the Data Management function internally and our CRO partners engagements.
- Vendor oversight is a crucial function within the DM engagements requiring process definition, training of those processes, assurance of quality, and KPI assessments.
- DM BPO are a key part of DM as well as CDI and ensure that key business processes for communication, capacity, recruitment, training, budget, business performance information, leadership team meeting support and quality/compliance are provided and managed successfully
- In addition, DM BPO is responsible for leading all aspects of and delivering strategic initiatives for DM
Accountabilities:
- To lead complex strategic initiatives for DM including planning and implementation with little/no direction from the executive Senior Director, CDI Capability and Operations and DM. This is likely to include working with cross functional colleagues across Development Operations, TA aligned Biometrics and other R&D departments
- To lead specific area(s) of expertise within DM with little/no direction from the Executive/Senior Director, DM
- To serve as a delegate for the Executive/Senior Director, DM for specific tasks or activities, as necessary.
- To provide oversight and advice to all staff within the function regarding all DM processes, deliverables, training and compliance
- Delivery models/vendor oversight
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Degree(s) in business and/or sciences, or equivalent.
- 8 -10 years proven experience in the pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare industry, development, research and/or commercial planning, and global coordination roles
- Ability to understand business strategy and goals and generate new strategic options
- Experience in working with senior managers - strong strategic influencing and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills, including the ability to solve problems that involve many decision makers, and develop multiple options/recommendations
- Extensive networking skills, ability to interact widely and effectively both within the company (on both an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis) and externally
- Validated ability to work independently, and remotely, from key customers and stakeholders and with little direction.
- Validated project leadership/project management experience from drug and/or non-drug projects.
- Validated ability to work with multiple customers and on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent collaboration required – needs the energy to work across global & functional boundaries both internally and externally
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Data Management, Programming, Statistics or Information Practice
- Recognized expertise in one or more of the following areas: communication, capacity, recruitment, training, budget, business performance information, quality/compliance
