Systems Engineer - Data Scientist

The Neuron team at Anduril develops aerial and ground-based robotic systems. The team is responsible for taking autonomous systems from paper sketches to operational deployment. We work in close coordination with integrated product teams like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, flight navigation and control, manufacturing, and integration and test to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers and roboticists excited about creating powerful autonomous aircraft systems that include computer vision, signal processing, motion planning, flight controls, estimation, and secure communications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Responsible for verification and validation of the full aircraft software components
• Support the acquisition and analysis of complex system data to reach actionable conclusions
• Manage software system requirements including requirements derivation, traceability, and verification and validation
• Collaborate with program managers and engineering leadership to perform gap analysis of the robotic systems through evidence based approaches, performing analysis of alternatives on potential solutions, and creating actionable plans for updates to the next iteration of the system 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of systems engineering experience in industry or academia
• 1+ year of data science experience
• Experience with Python, R, or other languages utilized for data science
• Working knowledge of cloud-based data management (AWS a plus)
• BS or MS in computer science, data science, math, aerospace engineer, systems engineering, or other related fields
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Industry experience using Agile methods
• Experience with front-end UI tools
• Past experience implementing continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) software pipelines
