Senior Azure Data Engineer

As an Azure Data Engineer at Techstra Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing data architecture on the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will be proficient in leveraging Azure data services and tools to extract insights from large datasets, drive data-driven decision making, and contribute to the overall data strategy. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing data architecture on the Azure cloud platform.
Responsibilities: 

• Data Collection and Integration: Collect, clean and integrate data from various sources into Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database
• Data Modeling and Analysis: Design and implement data models to support business requirements. Perform exploratory data analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and derive actionable insights.
• Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance policies and security measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard sensitive material.
• Extract Data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into Azure data storage solutions such as Azure SQL Database, or Azure Synapse Analytics
• Expert level understanding on Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure App Service is required.  
• Knowledge in Azure Databricks, Azure IoT, Azure HDInsight + Spark, Azure Stream Analytics
• Establish data security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 
• Must have experience in Azure Data Factory 
• Proven experience as a Data Architect with a focus on Azure cloud technologies 
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred 
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management 
• Proficiency in SQL, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake Storage 
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools 
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills 
• Strong project management and leadership abilities 
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
