Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer

Role Summary

As a Senior BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making.

You will play a critical role in translating business needs into complex analytics and reporting tools that provide key insights into business performance.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient BI systems and models.
• Design and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data analysis needs and develop BI strategies and solutions.
• Collaborate with data management teams to integrate BI tools with existing data systems.
• Perform detailed analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data across BI platforms.
• Conduct root cause analysis on BI tools and systems to ensure they meet required standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in BI technologies.
• Mentor junior BI engineers and analysts, providing guidance and support as needed.

Person Specification

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Having a statistical background is beneficial, enabling deeper insights from complex data sets.
• 04+ years of experience in a BI engineering role, with a proven track record of successful BI implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of BI technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, QlikView or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, capable of working independently and within a team.
• Knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools.
• Experience with SQL and familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.
