Business Intelligence Principal

Analytica is seeking a Business Intelligence Principal to support data and analytics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients in both a consulting and delivery capacity to tackle complex, enterprise cloud or on-premises software and technology projects.   Analytica is looking for bright, motivated professionals looking to continue their career in the data analytics field.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data analysis requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and reports. 

  • Design and develop interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. 

  • Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure its accuracy and usability for analysis in Power BI or Graph. 

  • Implement data models and calculations to enable efficient data exploration and analysis. 

  • Optimize dashboards and reports for performance and responsiveness. 

  • Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to ensure seamless data integration and quality assurance. 

  • Participate in data governance activities to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. 

  • Document Power BI development processes, data models, and technical specifications. 

  • Provide technical inputs to agile processes, such as epic, story, and task definition to resolve issues and remove barriers throughout the lifecycle of client engagements 

  • Mentor, help and grow junior team members. 

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or any other quantitative field.  

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience with developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI, Tableau or other similar tools. 

  • Demonstrated SQL development experience by writing queries and procedures and using functions to create curated data for use in reporting. 

  • Ability to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI or Tableau.  

  • Exposure to Tableau, Databricks, SAS and/or Graph 

  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with a wide range of audiences and maintain interpersonal relationships.  

  • Ability to work within time constraints and manage multiple tasks against critical deadlines.  

  • Active US Federal Security Clearance
