AiCure uses mobile device technology to collect patient audio and video data in naturalistic settings to inform disease knowledge and develop predictive models that support healthcare research and treatment management. The Student Intern will assist AiCure’s Clinical Data Science (CDS) team with ongoing research projects aimed at the development of digital biomarkers (DBMs) and predictive models that support remote assessment and management of central nervous system (CNS) disease. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to various areas of quantitative research including data collection and validation, tool development, model development, and data analyses. The ideal candidate possesses both strong programming and analytical skills with a desire to apply these skills to real-world healthcare challenges.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to exploratory data analysis, statistical testing, and inference model development for measurement and validation of novel disease and behavioral digital biomarkers
  • Develop reusable tools to support data visualizations and reporting of complex digital biomarker data, model performance, and other product offerings as needed
  • Present and interpret results to a wide array of clinical, technical and lay audiences

Required Education & Training:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • Strong programming skills in a general programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) 
  • Knowledge of and experience with statistical analysis methods
  • Familiarity with Python and data science stack (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Jupyter)
  • Familiarity with machine learning model development and validation
  • Ability to work with Linux based cloud computing environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
