Job Summary
At Urbint, the machine learning team does not work on making consumers spend more or on maximizing clicks. That is all fine; we work on reducing carbon emissions, reducing infrastructure risk and avoiding fatalities. We find meaning and excitement solving these problems, and we hope you do, too.
We are looking for a Machine Learning Leader to join our high visibility, high impact Machine Learning team to help with this mission. The ML team collaborates with a diverse, broader-mission team to deliver value for our customers. Members of the Machine Learning team have the option to major/minor in areas from a large data science specialization spectrum: Technical Product Management, People Management, Data Story-Telling, Applied ML, ML Research, AutoML (Algo/Performance) and MLOps (DE, SRE). This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety and is also looking to expand their skill set in a structured fashion.
Position Location
Position is fully remote, work from home from anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Develop the R&D roadmap for machine learning products; oversee delivery of machine learning products that provide measurable value for clients by leading and guiding the technical work of data science, software engineering and machine learning engineering teams;
create and ensure adoption of best practices for designing and creating new machine learning products; maintain and grow a talented machine learning team for the company. Manage and mentor other machine learning professionals.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field plus 5 years of experience working with lean product development; 5 years of experience working with user research and Go to Market Strategy; 5 years of experience working with machine learning algorithms; 5 years of experience working with natural language processing; 5 years of experience working with data mining and big data technologies and 5 years of experience managing teams of employees.
