• Position: AI Engineering Tech Lead 
• Location: Remote (EU, UK)

Position Overview: 

The AI Engineering Tech Lead will play a crucial role in helping a squad of  engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly tools for fine-tuning and evaluating language models. The main responsibilities of this position are:

1. Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of a platform for fine-tuning and evaluating language models.
2. Define architecture, frameworks, and technologies for scalability, reliability, and ease of use.
3. Oversee the team’s development lifecycle, guiding and mentoring the team to ensure high quality development. 
4. Work  closely with product managers, designers, domain experts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver features on schedule.Utilize deep expertise in AI and software engineering to solve technical challenges and review code.
5. Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and security.
6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and address technical challenges.
7. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in AI and software engineering.

Qualifications:

• +10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years as a technical lead.
• Proficiency in managing multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and familiarity with cloud-native technologies and services.
• Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and proficiency using open source models. 
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD, IaaC) is a plus. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
