Job summary
AWS is looking for Business Intelligence Engineer professionals to drive our analytical revolution in the AWS Talent Acquisition space. You get the opportunity to work on a ground up rebuild of our analytical capabilities, from data ingress, to complex business transformations to end user reporting and beyond. In this role, you will invent and build on behalf of candidates, experiment and test new ideas, evangelize successes, and drive consistency.


The ideal candidate is an independent Business Intelligence Engineer who can source data, cleanse, analyze, refine, enrich, model, present, automate and document our business data pipelines. You will always be on the lookout for ways to optimize the information flow process, stay on top of latest trends in data warehousing and be able to coordinate and work on multiple, related projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with recruiting operations, data scientists, and business leaders to define business processes and provide analytical support

  • Leverage code to analyze complex datasets and design, develop and evaluate data transformations to solve specific business problems

  • Build scalable, efficient, and automated data processes to facilitate customer-facing reporting

  • Automate TA processes to streamline business operations

  • Communicate verbally or in writing to business customers / leadership to sharing insights and recommendations


Basic Qualifications


-3+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, data engineering, business intelligence or related field
-Experience using, writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment
-Knowledge of data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting/analytic tools and environments
-Experience in business intelligence and visualization software (Looker, Tableau, Qlikview, MicroStrategy, QuickSight)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, related technical field

-5+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, data engineering, business intelligence or related field
-Strong communication and writing skills necessary to build effective working relationships and positively influence decision making
-Strong business acumen
-Experience in performing regression analysis and building classification models using machine learning algorithms
-Coding proficiency Python and/or R
-Experience with AWS technologies including Redshift, RDS, S3, EMR
