Airbus is looking for an AWS Cloud Specialist to join in Bangalore, India, to develop/integrate a data lake based in-house product, for Airbus Information Management (IM).

Qualification & Experience: 

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 3-7 years in IT with minimum 2 years hands-on experience on AWS Cloud platform.

• Experience with the core AWS Services and setting up AWS Data Platform – AWS OpenSearch, DevelopmentEndPoints, AWS Glue Catalog, EMR and Jupyter/Sagemaker Notebooks, Redshift (Must have)

• Background in Data Model Engineering – Data Warehouse or Data Lake experience is highly desirable

• Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or CDK (Must have).

• Past experience with the Microservices Architecture and Serverless approaches using AWS Lambda is a plus. For example, the Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM) (Must Have).

• Experience in database design (SQL and NoSQL - preferably Graph).

• Experience in designing and implementing APIs (fast API - good to have), RESTful Web-services.

• Experience in Time series analysis ,other kind of visualisation tools

• Job performance monitoring in SPARK

• Monitoring and Alerting set up for SPARK jobs

• Working experience on Data Platforms (like Databricks or Snowflake or Palantier) is a plus.

• Experience of Event Driven product design development

• Good background in Linux/Unix administration.

• Proficiency in at least one language from our stack: [[ Python, TypeScript ]] (is a plus)

• Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.)

• Previous exposure to large-scale systems design; building or maintaining Cloud-native applications.

• Knowledge in test automation and test-driven development methods.

• Working experience in Agile Scrum, SAFe and/or Kanban projects

• DevOps orientation, knowledge of continuous integration frameworks and some of the following products/tools: Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, VersionOne, etc. (Good to have)

• AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification is a plus.

 

Responsibilities

Support feasibility studies to extend existing legacy applications to AWS cloud

Deploying highly available, scalable, maintainable, monitored solutions via full automation.

Support problem solving and the operational availability of the applications on Airbus Public Cloud

Platform

Own incidents, problems, changes related to the Cloud Services.

Work in small and self-sufficient multi-disciplinary teams responsible for end to end product development

Developing, updating and use CI/CD pipeline to allow fully automated deployments of applications across all environments from Development, Q&A and Production

This role will involve some travel for business from time to time and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
