Data Scientist Associate

We are looking for a talented AWS Backend/Full Stack software developer who has experience in product development and is able to deliver leveraging and expanding on the firm’s design strategies. In this role, you will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle developing Full stack applications that leverage data science techniques. Key Responsibilities:

• A proactive software engineer actively involved in coding and feature development, working hands-on within an agile feature team.
• Focus on collaborative debugging within the team to identify and remove obstacles and impediments hindering timely delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design scalable and efficient full stack applications including but not limited to incorporating data science capabilities.
• Help create and maintain program roadmaps & plans in collaboration with the PO. Help develop risks, issues and mitigations early and often.
• Provide technical coaching and leadership to develop efficient, highly technical teams.
• Implement continuous improvement via team retrospectives and experiments.
• Exhibit strong sense of ownership and accountability at all times.

This role requires the following experience and strengths, including:   

• B-Tech/M-Tech degree or equivalent with 7+ years of experience.
• Proven hands-on experience as a Full Stack developer with proficiency in both front-end and back-end development technologies with a strong CS fundamentals and write code with ease.
• Design and implement back-end APIs and services using server side languages and framework such as Python(Django, Flask), Node.js, Java 8, Spring Boot, REST API. Proficiency in SQL/Hibernate, Messaging (MQ & Kafka), application performance testing and tuning.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and Kafka.
• Expertise in Neo4j graph database including schema design, query optimization and Cypher query language proficiency.
• Implement data visualization and reporting tools tailored to graph based insights leveraging libraries such as D3.js, Neo4j’s visualization capabilities.
• Experience in building applications with microservices patterns and being cloud native.
• Exposure and experience with AWS at least working with one search engine (Elastic search, OpenSearch) or any other cloud related deployment and services.
• Good knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS offerings (S3, EC2, RDS, Glue, etc).
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines, knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices.

The following qualifications are a big plus:

• Knowledge of API protocols and development methodologies
• Familiarity with Banking core modules.
• Strong knowledge in automated build and testing tools like Jenkins, JMeter, Cucumber, Cypress.
• Experience conducting POCs for applications building distributed systems.
• Experience in engineering solutions for metrics gathering/publishing and event collection/correlation across distributed architectures, automation, monitoring, intelligent alerting, random fault injection (Chaos Engineering), and self-healing.
• Experience with tuning high volume applications.
• Good to have AWS developer or Solutions Architect Certification.
