About the role

The MLS Data Engineer is responsible for the processes that maintain MLS Data within the ShowingTime suite of applications. This position will build, manage and monitor the pipelines for the data that drives the ShowingTime suite of applications.  The role works with internal and external data sources to ensure that the application data is timely and accurate.

 

Primary Accountabilities

• Build, maintain and optimize vendor data ingest processes.
• Build, maintain and optimize data export processes
• Assist in validating and troubleshooting data anomalies
• Perform scheduled database updates.
• Automate manual processes where appropriate.
• Coordinate efforts across the business, engineering and IT teams.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent.
• 3+ Years experience as a Database Developer
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL expertise
• Strong Shell Scripting experience (bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with C# .Net (or Java)
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required. 
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. 
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. 
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. 
• Ability to work in an agile,  team-oriented, collaborative environment.
