Job Overview: 

Senior Software Engineer, ML Platform

Data Platform Organization at Coupang builds products and technologies that help internal teams to process their data at scale and in a reliable fashion. The Machine Learning(ML) Platform team under the Data Platform organization is focused on improving ML velocity at Coupang by building tools that facilitate worry-free ML processing on both Cloud and our on-premise Infrastructure. The team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in the AI/ML domain to expand and improve the platform features and help data scientists/ML Engineers to develop, train, deploy and scale models. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities       

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build Coupang's next-generation Machine Learning Platform that enables internal teams to seamlessly build, deploy, and operate machine learning solutions. The users of the platform should be able to run ML models with high confidence without worrying about infrastructure aspects like accelerated compute, container management and dockerization. You will be working closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, User Researchers and Software Engineers who heavily rely on ML infrastructure in the Ads business, Search Indexing, Recommendations, Marketing and Catalog teams and build cross functional relationships.

 

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with Python and/or Java/Scala
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience working on open-source projects
  • Experience in CI/CD tools, big data, and distributed systems
  • Excellent written and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
  • Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)
