Scientific Systems Company Inc. is looking to fill anIntelligent Algorithms Engineer - Robotics position in the Intelligent Control Systems group in the areas of AI decision making for autonomous systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate advanced autonomy, AI/ML, GNC, and optimization algorithms into high-fidelity simulations and hardware systems.
  • Evaluate advanced algorithms against benchmarks and document performance analyses.
  • Work in a team or as a task lead to execute technical tasks.
  • Contribute technical materials for reports, presentations, and proposals.

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge in Python and C++
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, JAX, and/or Tensorflow
  • Experience implementing RL and DL for decision making and control of single and/or multi-agent systems.
  • Experience with high fidelity simulation software.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • MS or PhD degree
  • Research emphasis in multi-vehicle autonomy in one or more UxV domains (ground, water surface, underwater, aerial, and space vehicles).
  • Advanced programming skills (software architecture, unit testing, CI/CD, etc.)
  • Experience leading research programs (thesis/dissertation/funded programs).
  • Experience applying deep learning processing to vision, LIDAR, Radar, and/or Sonar.
  • Experience writing or contributing to grant proposals and/or presenting at relevant conferences or publishing in academic journals.
  • Team-based work ethic and excellent collaborator.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
