Sr. Data Scientist - Spotify Live

Talk is the team within Spotify responsible for building the best tools for audio creators. We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify, and Spotify Live (the platform that allows anyone to stream or listen to live audio).

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead our Live Vertical. You’ll be responsible for setting the insights agenda as well as its execution. You’ll conduct analysis of Live creator behaviors in support of our growing Live products. Example projects include analyzing how Live creators are engaging with our products, defining measures of success, running experiments, and making data-driven recommendations that enable our business & product teams to make quick decisions that delight both our live creators & their audience.

What you'll do:

• Build & implement the Live insights agenda!
• Develop a deep understanding of the live creator landscape.
• Collaborate with & influence cross-functional insights teams.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on large sets of data to extract practical insights that will help drive product, platform and business decisions.
• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key partners; go beyond observations to concrete insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, user researchers, product owners, designers and business decision-makers who are passionate about Spotify’s success
• Work closely with the team including data engineering to build lasting solutions to our data modeling.
• Define, evaluate, dashboard and monitor key metrics, understanding root causes of changes.
• Partner with user research to combine qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Mentor and coach other data scientists.
