The Data Analytics Analyst will work directly both Senior and Lead Data Analysts and with all levels of management, technical staff and business stakeholders to analyze business requirements and create clear functional specifications for the development of reporting solutions to support functional areas of the business such as sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance etc. Provide timely, accurate and actionable information to address business requirements, support development of new solutions, and seek innovations to develop an understanding and insight across different business areas. The Data Analytics Analyst will utilize and leverage business and technical knowledge in technical design reviews, and focused testing efforts. Their main duties include identifying, gathering, analyzing data and making their insights accessible to the company through easy-to-understand reports and through various visualization tools.

Essential Functions

 

Acquisition and Deployment

  • Assist in providing technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects. 
  • Performing statistical analysis of data
  • Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.
  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage
  • Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients
  • Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.


Operational Management

  • Provide application assistance as a project resource.
  • Provide documentation for supported applications.
  • Utilize existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.

Incidental Functions

  • Assist in preparing presentations and demos as requested.
  • Assist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the teamwork.
  • Minimal travel as required.
  • Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may be required.

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business)

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 1+ years of IT and/or Business experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Finance KPIs and metrics preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL, preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant relational databases
  • Experiences with Data Visualization preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge with multiple programming languages.
  • Experience working with internal clients and/or external partners.
  • Understanding of various essential business functions of an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well versed in Microsoft office applications. 
  • Bonus: R or Python Programming
  • Bonus: knowledge on MicroStrategy and Tableau

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.

This position works in the office three days a week and is eligible to work remotely two days a week.
