Lear’s Industry 4.0 Strategy
As a global technology leader of automotive Seating and Electrical components operating across over 250 facilities within 37 countries around the world, Lear Corporation is at the forefront of various aspects of technological evolution. Industry 4.0 within Lear Corporation is underpinned through the integration of intelligent digital technologies and analytical systems into manufacturing and industrial processes. Lear Corporation’s industry 4.0 strategy is primarily divided into 2 key operating functions. Firstly, the successful project management and execution of industry 4.0 initiatives into our manufacturing operations. Secondly, the digital analysis and data gleaned from visual management systems ensuring Lear takes informed decisions across its wider business maximizing our operational efficiency whilst upholding the highest quality standards ensuring that Lear’s operational and financial objectives can be achieved.
Position overview:
As a data scientist you will be engaged with various departments to understand their data and preform analysis of the raw data to turn it in to meaningful information to support strategic decisions. Supporting industry 4.0 projects and the rollout of inactivates that are identified.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a member of the EU&AF AME team, manage execution of data focused projects using Lear’s data analytics and application platform.
- Participate in multiple projects right from the initial problem statement.
- Assist stakeholders in analysing data across Lear in a meaningful and clear manor for senior management.
- Draw conclusions and generate statistical information from multiple data sources including dashboards, reports, and unstructured data.
- Develop the necessary tools to communicate analysis to stakeholders (reports, spreadsheet, or presentations).
- Provide guidance and feedback to IT and engineering resources for development of new data products.
- Understanding the phases of program and product delivery and being able to contribute expert analysis across the program lifecycle.
- Working with technologies both new and old to integrate separate data feeds to transform and map into new scalable datasets.
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms reporting.
- Experience analysing ERP, Finance or other enterprise systems.
- Experience with data warehouse platforms and dashboards.
- Knowledge of A.I. Large Language Models (e.g. ChatGPT)
- Basic to intermediate level knowledge of PowerPoint, including charts.
- Experience of working within a multinational organization with international, cross functional teams.
- Exposure to data management within manufacturing operations.
- Master’s degree in Technical or Economic related discipline.
- Experience analysing Human Resource data including talent management, recruiting, compensation, and diversity metrics.
- Ability to analyse data both at the employee and aggregate level.
- Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Intermediate to expert level knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and macros.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in HR or IT environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, IT, Computer Science or comparable study.
- Business analysis and project management exposure.
