What We're Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a is seeking a skilled and driven individual to join our Enrollment Management team as a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in conducting research on university data to provide valuable insights to key stakeholders, facilitating data-informed decisions across various units. If you are passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic initiatives and possess strong analytical skills, we encourage you to apply.

The Research Analyst will require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, two years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith.  A Master's degree and three years of experience is preferred.

The Senior Research Analyst will require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, four years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith.  A Master's degree and six years of experience is preferred.

Additional experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Python, R, or other statistical computation software.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis. 

What You Will Do

  • Conduct Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, predictive modeling, clustering, or segmentation to uncover insights and trends in enrollment data to advance the university’s mission.
  • Contribute to Predictive Modeling Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of predictive models to forecast enrollment trends, student behavior, or other key metrics, aiding in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor developments in enrollment management, higher education, and data analytics fields, incorporating relevant best practices and innovations into research methodologies.
  • Contribute to Long-Term Planning: Support long-term strategic planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform enrollment goals, resource allocation, and program development.
  • Evaluate Data Tools and Technologies: Evaluate and recommend new data analysis tools, software, or technologies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of research and analysis processes.
  • Effectively Communicate Insights: Articulate complex research findings and insights in a clear, compelling manner through written reports, presentations, and visualizations, ensuring that key stakeholders across the university can understand and act upon the information effectively.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.  
  • Ability to comply with university policies.  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
