The Voice of Customer (VoC) team is part of the Workplace Technology Customer Experience organization. As a Data Scientist on the VoC Team, you will play an integral part in uncovering insights about the overall employee technology journey and driving actionable changes leading to an exceptional employee technology experience.
The ability to capture and analyze meaningful qualitative and quantitative data is paramount to the success of the Voice of Customer service. This role serves to enable effective decision-making for key stakeholders through data analytics.
What you’ll be able to do, but not limited to:
- Be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and combining disparate datasets as well as maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Design, develop, and maintain ongoing metrics, dashboards, surveys, etc., to drive key business insights.
- Work closely with IT partners, CX Strategy & Design teams, and other stakeholders to identify both short-term and systemic improvements to the overall technology offering driven by employee feedback.
- Produce high-quality reports and analyses tailored to various stakeholder needs.
- Influence the strategic direction of IT products and services by leveraging data & analytics, coupled with business acumen and ability to execute in a fast-changing environment.
- Combine qualitative and quantitative information from varied data sets in disparate systems/formats to paint a cohesive “big picture”.
- Make recommendations for metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve.
- Create resonant visual storytelling from datasets and analytical insights.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Applied Mathematics, IT)
- 3+ years of experience with analytic & development platforms and natural language processing (NLP)
- Experience with the Medallia platform is required; Medallia Administrator Certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience with SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, Java, or other analytic / development platforms

- Ability to source and process large data sets of different formats from disparate systems
- Relevant experience linking business requirements to digital product development.
- Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations.
- Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques.
- Ability to influence and collaborate to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Foster exceptional customer relationships and solve for win-win outcomes with internal Ford and third-party customers.
- Problem formulation, solution scoping, and critical thinking
- Demonstrated analytical ability, in a results-oriented environment with multiple stakeholder interactions.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
