Your Opportunity
We are looking for ATMS Senior Engineer to support the ATM Systems Engineering Team Leader in the delivery of ATM Systems technical expertise by providing efficient and effective support to the ATC and ATE operations. In addition support will be given to Project Support as required by dans and Dubai Airports. Shall ensure compliance with all CNS Manuals, processes, procedures and applicable Local, National or International regulations, standards and recommended practices.
The ideal candidate should be a resourceful manager, leader and player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines and make correct decisions under pressure
This role will be with Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS). DANS provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world's busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world-leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide guidance, support and recommendations to the Head of ATM Systems in all Engineering aspects of adaptation of all current and future dans ATM systems, advising on future Engineering technological and resourcing needs for adaptation and participate in the process for adaptation change control.
- Provide support to ensure provision of efficient and safe day to day operations and deliver an effective CNS services in compliance with project requirements, applicable rules and regulations. Conduct work activities in a safe manner and in line with dans Safety and Quality Management Systems processes and procedures and appropriate GCAA civil aviation regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate development of policies, procedures, SLAs, maintenance documents, equipment instructions, drawings and competency documentation for operational equipment at DXB and DWC in compliance with CARs.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to Engineers and promote innovative ideas, original developments, knowledge sharing and development, including decency and competency process
- Ensure that all Levels 1 and 2 preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out by adequately trained and competent staff.
- Ensure the upgrades and modifications to operational assets are planned and carried out in a safe and effective manner in consultation with the appropriate operational managers and in line with assets management plan.
Specific Requirements
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in Level 2 maintenance in a CNS/ATM engineering environment.
- Minimum 1 years managerial experience.
- Relevant certificates of competency on ATM systems or equipment that meet international or national regulatory standards.
- Hold an OJTI qualification or be prepared to gain this qualification.
- In depth knowledge of National Regulations
- In depth knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices.
- Technical knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Radar, ATM and other Airport Systems
- In depth Knowledge of ATC and other customer procedures.
