Work you’ll do:

Overview:

We're seeking a talented Cloud Architect to join our dynamic GCP team. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing secure and performant cloud solutions that leverage AI to empower our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable cloud architectures on GCP, ensuring optimal resource utilization, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Possess a deep understanding of core GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, Cloud IAM, and Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Develop and manage data pipelines using tools like Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc, and Apache Beam, potentially utilizing Python or SQL for scripting.
• Integrate and leverage Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI services into cloud solutions to automate machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI models into the overall architecture.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration is a plus.
• Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in GCP, AI technologies, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Architect or a similar role with a focus on GCP.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing secure and scalable cloud solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Python and SQL for scripting and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and tools (e.g., Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience with multiple AI technologies and a strong understanding of Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies and tools like Terraform is preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• A passion for learning and staying current with the latest advancements in cloud and AI technologies.
