About the Project:

We are actively seeking talented individuals with strong data architecture and engineering skills, specifically with Snowflake experience, to join one of our major U.S. clients on the team (CRM payroll platform). As a Data Architect/Engineer specializing in Snowflake, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support our organization's growing data needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust data solutions that leverage the full capabilities of Snowflake's cloud data platform.

Responsibilities:

  1. Snowflake Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable data architectures on the Snowflake platform to support various data workloads, including data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time data processing.

  2. Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models within Snowflake to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis, while adhering to best practices for performance and scalability.

  3. Data Integration: Design and implement data integration pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into Snowflake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.

  4. Database Optimization: Optimize Snowflake databases and queries for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing Snowflake's features such as clustering, materialized views, and query optimization.

  5. Data Governance and Security: Establish and enforce data governance policies and security controls within Snowflake to ensure data privacy, compliance, and integrity across the organization.

  6. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor Snowflake performance metrics and troubleshoot issues related to data ingestion, processing, and storage, ensuring high availability and reliability of our data systems.

  7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, business stakeholders, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs effectively.

  8. Documentation and Training: Create documentation and provide training on Snowflake best practices, data modeling techniques, and data engineering processes to promote consistent usage and knowledge sharing within the organization.

  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in data architecture, engineering, and Snowflake technology, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake's SQL dialect, including advanced querying, optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake's architecture, features, and services, including virtual warehouses, data sharing, data replication, and Snowflake administration.

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with Snowflake is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced) or willingness to obtain certification is desirable.
