The CB Strategy Business Intelligence group is composed of professionals from top strategy consulting firms and other investment banks. Most of our projects involve developing and executing high-value strategic growth initiatives for the business, as well identifying and highlighting actionable business insights based on internal / external data. As a part of the Strategy group, the associate would drive end-to-end execution of these data-driven growth strategy projects – helping create advanced analytical, predictive, or machine learning solutions to identify actionable insights. The role would involve significant engagement and communication with senior leaders across the Commercial Bank.

Job Summary:

As a Strategy and Business Intelligence professional in the Commercial Banking Strategy team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering strategic goals for our firm. The newly conceived Business Intelligence team has the mandate to use data-driven, advanced analytical and predictive approaches to identify, prioritize and accelerate conversion of high-value strategic growth opportunities for the Commercial Banking business. You will build analytical and predictive models leveraging existing and new data sets, both JPMC-proprietary and third-party market research, to develop actionable business insights. You will also support business leaders in articulating the most optimal growth opportunities for the business.  
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support a portfolio of strategic engagements, leading to actionable business insights
  • Execute on market research, data aggregation, analytical and predictive approaches to help the business achieve strategic growth objectives
  • Help solve complex problems by leveraging internal and external data assets
  • Aid identification and validation of new business growth ideas by leveraging existing and new data sets
  • Aid in crafting clear and compelling narratives, leveraging creative data visualization to enable opportunity prioritization, idea convergence, insight operationalization and stakeholder buy-in

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 6 to 10 years’ experience in Strategy, Data Science or Advanced Analytics; Business/Management consulting experience preferred
  • Fluency with large data sets, advanced analytical techniques and problem-solving approaches; machine learning and predictive modeling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of any of the following: Python, R or SQL and familiarity with relational database concepts, background in statistics and a passion for learning
  • Expertise with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau and Qliksense)
  • Demonstrated capability to draw actionable insights to support business growth objectives from a variety of data and research assets
  • CA / MBA / MTech / PhD from top tier school
  • Strong presentation, communication & collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Additional qualification in data science / business analytics preferred
  • Quantitative background
