About the Role

As a Data Analytics engineer, you will play an important role in harnessing the power of data to drive insights, support the internal teams in the decision-making process, and enhance player experiences. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and dashboards, analyzing datasets, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define metrics, and develop dashboards and reports to monitor game performance and player behavior.

  • Maintain, develop and design scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of game-related data.

  • Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency to support real-time and batch processing requirements.

  • Perform analysis of game telemetry data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and monetization.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering, analytics, and gaming.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A can-do attitude, a passion for learning, and a creative approach to solving complex problems.

  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics roles, preferably in the gaming industry.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL with an understanding of relational and NoSQL database concepts and query optimization techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets using technologies such as BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.

  • Prior experience with mobile game datasets or a strong interest in gaming is a plus.
