About the role: We are looking for a self-motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Analytics team. The scope of the role involves  generating and analysing business insights and building intuitive  dashboards driving the strategic decision making for our clients’ day-to-day operations

What you will do in this role:

  • Leveraging Signal’s extensive datasets to create meaningful datasets
  • Analyzing data to build powerful dashboards for hot shipping topics
  • Checking Signal’s data to ensure reliability and accuracy of  provided services
  • Extracting meaningful patterns and detecting trend disruptions
  • Participating in long-term projects, and collaborate with global colleagues from various teams to deliver market insights and new features
  • Working closely with the tech team (including product, data, engineering and datawarehouse teams) to produce accurate market analytics
  • Taking ownership of legacy reports and being responsible to debug them 
  • Conducting research and monitoring market news

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Mathematics related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Proficiency in creating dynamic reports that add value to our stakeholders and effectively uncover actionable insights 
  • Strong motivation to deep dive and understand the complex shipping industry its developments and trends
  • Demonstrated previous work experience with SQL 
  • Demonstrated previous work experience with at least one BI tool, preferably PowerBI 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with large and unstructured datasets, within databases and able to highlight trends and use complex data to support decisions
  • Ability to work with several stakeholders and cross functional teams
  • Strong English knowledge (both written and spoken)
  • Prior experience in the shipping industry is not a requirement.
